One of the most common questions we hear at our Miami showroom is simple: what size bathroom vanity do I need? Choose the wrong width and a vanity either crowds the room or leaves awkward dead space. Here are the standard dimensions, how to measure your space, and the sizing rules our designers use every day.
Vanity widths are fairly predictable. The most common single-sink sizes are 24", 30", 36", and 48", while double-sink vanities usually start at 60" and run to 72" or wider. Standard depth is 20"–21" and standard height is 32"–36" (taller "comfort height" vanities are increasingly popular).
Before you fall in love with a finish, measure three things: the available wall width, the depth from the wall to any obstruction (door swing, toilet, walkway), and the height to any window sill or mirror. Leave at least 4" of clearance on each side of the vanity, and keep a minimum of 30" of walking space in front of it.
If your wall is under 60", a single-sink vanity is almost always the better choice — a cramped double looks busy and sacrifices counter space. At 60" and up, a double becomes practical, though a single with a wide top is still excellent when storage and surface area matter more than a second basin.
Miami bathrooms vary widely, from compact condo baths in Brickell to spacious suites in Coral Gables. Whatever the room, confirm the door clears the vanity, the drawers open fully, and the faucet sits comfortably below the mirror or window.
Dimensions on a screen only tell half the story. Visit the Bath Miami showroom to stand in front of full-size vanities, open the drawers, and feel how each width works in a real space — our designers will help you match the right size to your exact bathroom.
